Floral Production Supervisor- Job Description

Who You Are:

You are a strong leader with exemplary managerial skills. Extremely well-organized and proactive, you know how to get things moving and get people going with clear and precise communication.

You must have in-depth knowledge of florals, their seasonal availability, and individual shelf life. You live in the details, you thrive in fast-paced environments, and have the ability to operate at a high-level with quick efficiency. You are flexible and able to carry yourself in a calm and professional manner at all times, especially when last-minute requests come in from the client. You must be able to think on your feet, get creative, and get the job done. Troubleshooting and “putting out fires,” will be the name of the game! You must be a self-starter and fully own the process. The team will be looking to you to advise on all arrangement designs and style. You will be the authority when it comes to critiquing arrangements and ensuring the designer’s work matches both the client’s request and the ASD style. You must also make sure designers are using each flower according to the recipes and be able to advise appropriate substitutions when necessary.

Your Role:

You will supervise the floral production for ASD’s largest house account and lead daily services, during which new arrangements are created and existing ones are refreshed. Daily services are completed on site within a five hour window, during which 115 floral arrangements are created across the ten floors of our client’s luxury retail space in Manhattan. You will be responsible for overseeing our team of talented floral designers and assistants to ensure that everything runs like a well-oiled machine with panache.

As a BtoB studio in the luxury sector, we operate on a high-level and we need someone who will match our energy and professionalism, always proactively looking ahead to anticipate needs before they become issues. Under your leadership, the team will never need to question which arrangements should be broken down first, which need to be refreshed. In time, you will learn each designer’s personal style, their working pace and preferences so that you can lean into their strengths and create a plan accordingly. You will be the conductor of the orchestra. You will ensure that our team executes the day’s service to create the flawless, showstopping arrangements that ASD is known for.

Who We Are

We are a luxury floral design company that creates out-of-this-world designs for events as well as weekly services for luxury retail and hospitality establishments. At ASD we strive to cultivate a positive experience for both our team and our clients, providing an innovative environment that pushes creative boundaries while fostering growth and opportunity. Community is of utmost importance to us. We are high performers but we always take time in our busy work schedules to enjoy fun activities like yoga, music, and dancing; or relaxing in our beautiful NYC rooftop garden. If you have an appreciation for good vibes, design, nature, and value human connection, we would love to meet you!

At ASD, the possibilities are endless and you will need to be fearless in the face of challenges and maneuver through obstacles with humility, empathy, and without ego. Professionalism and top tier customer service is our gold standard. From the way you present yourself, down to your attitude, how punctual you are, and your work ethic, ASD will hold you to a high standard of excellence. If you share these core values, we would love to learn more about you.
