Strange Bird is a Hospitality venture nestled in vibrant neighborhoods, working tirelessly to bring neighborhood favorites to life with our warm hospitality family. We own and operate The Orchard Townhouse and Nat's on Bank in New York City, and Nat's Mountain House in Tannersville.
We're currently looking for a General Manager to join our team at NAT’S MOUNTAIN HOUSE LOCATED IN TANNERSVILLE NEW YORK IN THE CATSKILLS. THIS POSITION CAN BE TEMPORARY FOR THE SUMMER SEASON (HOUSING PROVIDED) OR LONG TERM.
The General Manager is an active hands-on position that will guide our team to exceed expectations; train, support and manage employees; build strong relationships with guests and our community, and create memorable experiences for both staff and guests alike.
We are looking for an energetic and charismatic leader who leads by example, possesses a high level of emotional intelligence, and thrives in a fast-paced service environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Controlling Labor, Cost of Goods and Inventory
Driving service and generating revenue for the business, identifying new opportunities
Working with Events Manager to plan and execute multiple events per week
Accountability for guest experience and recovery
Scheduling, training and managing staff, providing feedback + corrective action as needed
Managing the property and overseeing maintenance as needed
Previous management experience in a high volume, full service setting is required.
