We are a Restaurant / Bar in Williamsburg Brooklyn specializing in Guatemalan Cuisine. We are a small team that works closely together and are looking for a talented full time chef/cook with a strong work ethic who is passionate about food.

This is a working Head Cook and Kitchen Manager position.
30-40 hours a week. Weekends a must.
Knowledge of Latin American Cuisine a Plus!
Spanish speaking a plus.
Weekly Salary.
Requirements:
- Must have 3 + years experience in food service.
- Lead & schedule a small experienced team of cooks.
- Daily operations in the kitchen including inventory, prep, stocking
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients and equipment.
- Must be able to be on your own in the kitchen including cleaning and par counts.
- Enthusiastic, fast, attention to detail, hard working.
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, crouch, squat & stretch to fulfill tasks.
- Strong leader with positive energy who is excited about working in a kitchen and cooking up magic
- Food Protection Certificate
Responsibilities :
- Cooking and preparing all menu items in accordance to standards.
- Contribute and help create new menu items and specials.
-Training and helping new team members grow in a kitchen environment
- Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food in the line.
- Catering orders.
- Food preparation and portioning prior to service.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Good communication skills.
