Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Corporate Catering Chef to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, a flair for presentation, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a blend of creativity, leadership, and organizational skills to execute a variety of menus for corporate clients and events throughout Manhattan.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and prepare a diverse range of menus for corporate events, including catering for meetings, conferences, and corporate gatherings. All hors d'oeuvres are made on-premise - we do not use any frozen items.
Manage kitchen operations, ensuring quality control and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Lead and mentor a team of kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard.
Stay updated on food trends and incorporate them into menu offerings.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
Ensure timely delivery and setup of catered events.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Corporate Catering Chef in Manhattan
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques. Must be proficient in the following cuisines: Mexican, South American, Classic American, Indian, Asian (Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Korean, Japanese)
Ability to create and execute menus that cater to diverse dietary needs.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
A passion for food, creativity, and client satisfaction.
