Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager to support daily operations, prepare food on the grill, craft specialty beverages as a barista, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader who can manage the team, maintain quality standards, and help drive business success.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Barista Duties
Prepare and cook menu items, including sandwiches, breakfast options, and grilled specialties.
Ensure all food items meet quality, presentation, and safety standards.
Operate the espresso machine and prepare high-quality coffee, matcha, and other specialty drinks.
Maintain consistency in beverage preparation, following standardized recipes and techniques.
Assist in developing and refining the menu, introducing new and seasonal offerings.
Operations & Leadership
Lead, train, and support team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Oversee inventory, restocking, and ordering to maintain fresh and high-quality ingredients.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
Manage opening and closing duties, including cash handling and end-of-day reports.
Address customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Assist in scheduling and managing labor costs efficiently.
Customer Experience & Business Growth
Provide excellent customer service and foster a positive, community-oriented environment.
Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and loyalty programs to drive sales.
Engage with customers to gather feedback and enhance their experience.
Help implement sustainability practices, including waste reduction and eco-friendly packaging.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in food service, coffee shops, or restaurant management.
Strong barista skills with experience in specialty coffee preparation.
Ability to cook and prepare food on a grill while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
