Senior Accountant

Description Transportation/Logistics company is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to their team. They are located in NYC and are in the office 3/4 days a week, so are seeking locally based candidates. General accounting responsibilities include. Post, monitor and review transactions in the general ledger. Run and review AR and AP aging. Reconciling bank statements. Prepare and file various on-line returns for multiple legal entities for corporate, sales, and property taxes. Maintain tax calendar with due dates, websites, filing frequencies, etc. Assist in month end closing including balance sheet and P& L analysis.
