Job DescriptionWe have a current opening forRadiology Image Library Associate. Processes and digitizes imaging procedures submitted on CDs (or via cloud) to PACS. Maintains an accurate record, through the radiology information system (RIS), of all CD movement and file maintenance procedures. You Will:
Perform routine digitizing of submitted exams as described in the Dept. of Radiology Policy and Procedure Manual. Responsible for uploading outside radiology exams on a consistent and timely basis.
Review orders in RIS for each examination. Modifies orders to correlate with submitted exams. Reviews for completeness (i.e., UPS slip, written report, exam complete)
Notify requesting service area when the read policy was not followed.
Identify order priority of submitted exams and organizes appropriately by Stat Read, Stat File, Read and File Only classifications.
Prepares, organizes, and enters data into an appropriate computer system.
Accurately enters patient demographics, name, MRN, pt. type, account number, requesting physician, clinical information, into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
Enter all patient procedure codes accurately into the RIS. Updates the system with correct procedure code when procedure has been modified.
Document reason why images cannot be digitized.
Maintain an accurate record, through the radiology information system (RIS), of all outside exam transfer requests.
You Have:
Experience working in a hospital or other healthcare setting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Advanced computer knowledge (MS Office)
PACS, LifeIMAGE, AMBRA, PowerShare – knowledge in all helpful
Hours:
M-F,4 pm – midnight (shift subject change)
10% night differential available for all hours worked from 4 pm to midnight
Position is currently on site at main hospital campus in Manhattan.
