Payroll Specialist

Description We are on the lookout for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. Operating remotely, the Payroll Specialist will be in charge of managing and processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the financial services industry.Responsibilities: Manage and process payroll biweekly, ensuring all transactions are carried out efficiently and accurately. Utilize accounting software systems to carry out payroll duties effectively. Employ skills in ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce for efficient payroll management and operations. Administer 401k - RRSP Administration tasks as part of the payroll process. Utilize 'About Time' software for accurate timekeeping and payroll processing. Carry out various accounting functions related to payroll management. Perform auditing tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processing. Handle benefit functions, ensuring employees receive their entitled benefits on time. Resolve any payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner. Monitor and update payroll records as necessary, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained. Requirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems. Demonstrated experience with ADP - Financial Services. Familiar with ADP Workforce Now. Experience with Ceridian and Dayforce. Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration. Familiarity with About Time software. Understanding of Accounting Functions. Experience in Auditing. Proficient in managing Benefit Functions.
