Payroll Specialist

Description We are offering a role for a Payroll Specialist situated in New York, New York. The role is primarily office-based, with a hybrid work model allowing for remote work two days a week. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be operating within the retail industry, handling multi-state payroll tasks. This is a short-term contract role.Responsibilities: Utilize ADP for payroll processing, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. Leverage experience in retail industry to address industry-specific payroll issues. Handle multi-state payroll tasks, adhering to different state regulations and requirements. Operate within a hybrid work model, demonstrating adaptability and self-management skills. Use Kronos Timekeeping System for accurate time and attendance tracking. Address and resolve payroll inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and company policies. Collaborate with other team members to streamline and improve payroll processes. Regularly update and maintain payroll records. Assist in other payroll-related duties as needed. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role Proficiency in Kronos Timekeeping System Experience in using ADP for payroll processing Familiarity with time and attendance systems Knowledge and experience in handling multi-state payroll Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
