Analytics Associate

Qualifications & ResponsibilitiesAnalytics & Engineering Be comfortable working across multiple data sources - including Python, MSSQL, Excel and other ODBC sourced data Be proficient in data modelling and integration - understanding how to build and maintain data hierarchy, cardinality, and relationship Interact with portfolio management and investment teams on proactive and ad-hoc analysis Assist in review and construction of fundamental and systematic portfolio risk and analytics Curious about Financial markets and looking for a deeper understanding of how they work Motivated to help improve the investment review processes of the Hedge Fund and the data stack built for it Engage with investor relations, marketing and clients on analysis and views Influence technical and non-technical staff in challenging well established norms in the organization and demonstrate the value of changes Promote the reuse of data assets, including the management of the data catalog for reference Draft architectural diagrams, interface specifications and other design documents Have practical experiences delivering across the full product lifecycle - executing in agile Design, Develop, Deliver, Deploy, & Adoption while balancing Operational quality Must be independent and drive analysis/recommendations autonomously while working with others to solve problems and support process improvements Experience with portfolio finance is preferredRequired Technology skills Python, SQL, Bloomberg, VBA, PowerBI, DAXMinimum Position Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Science, Software Engineering, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or related fields 2+ years successful and applicable experience building complex data solutions that have been successfully delivered to customers Excellent oral/written communication skills
