Jackalope has operated in New Mexico for more than 47 years. We are a retail store that sells home and garden decor. Peak planting and gardening season begins in May (thru October). Need a flexible summer job? Love the outdoors? Help water plants in our nursery, set up pottery displays, and help customers carry out purchases to their cars.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
Greet, Direct, and Help customers with questions
Help unload new deliveries and prepare merchandise for sale
Help customers to their cars with merchandise
Water plants and help clean and maintain nursery and pottery yards (sweeping, product tagging)
Help customers select plants and/or pots.
Cross train in other departments
All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Must be able to stand on your feet most of the day.
Must be able to work OUTSIDE for most of the day (it's hot in the summer).
Must be able to routinely and repeatedly lift and carry 20-40 lbs.
Must be able to routinely and repeatedly push and move up to 75 lbs.
Must be a team player with a friendly and warm demeanor.
Must be able to show up on time and work when scheduled.
You must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday.
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Work at least a 4 hour shift and at least 16 hours/week.
