Title:Event and Reservations Assistant (Temporary)Department:Events & Conference ServicesReports To:Associate Director of Campus Center Operations and Conference ServicesPosition Type:StaffPosition Summary:He/She is primarily responsible for assisting with administrative duties and coordination of event logistics. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: facility rental contract preparation, invoicing, budget Reservations, and revenue reporting using excel, google tools, or fresh books. The person in this position will work directly with the Assistant Director of Conference Services and the Associate Director of Conference Services.Essential Functions:He/She must require communication skills. Reviews and respond to all phone and electronic correspondence related to internal and external events expeditiously. He/She will assist with scheduling events through the reservation tool (R-25 live Pro), responding to facility rental inquiries, and overseeing events scheduled on campus. Additional Functions:He/She must be able to work evenings/weekends and demonstrate previous experience working with event-related vendors to ensure the needs of clients are handled in a timely manner. The work hours for this temporary position will be on a flex schedule as hours will be based on the business needs of the department and assigned on a weekly basis. This position will be based on 30 hours per week work schedule.Prerequisite Qualifications:

2 to 3 years of experience in Event Planning, hospitality, and customer service.

Small to Large Scale Events. Experience working in a fast pace environment is preferred.

Must be able to handle multiple events/projects and have excellent administrative and communication skills.
