Position Details Position Information Recruitment/Posting Title Assistant/Associate Professor - Full-time Prosthodontist Department RSDM-Restorative Dentistry Salary Commensurate With Experience Posting Summary The Department of Restorative Dentistry is searching for multiple full-time, non-tenure track, faculty positions at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, 100% FTE. The faculty person will be responsible for didactic and clinical teaching at both the postgraduate and undergraduate level. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: predoctoral education of fixed, removable, implant prosthodontics, dental anatomy, occlusion, biomaterials, and operative dentistry. Participation in predoctoral and post-doctoral teaching, as well as participation in the Departmental Master of Dental Science degree program; scholarly activity, research, and service is expected. The selected candidate will teach and/or direct preclinical courses, serve as an advisor for students, lecture in departmental courses as directed, participate on committees as assigned, and other assignments as directed by the Chair.Position will remain open until filled. Candidate must have formal teaching experience, including serving as a course director. Certifications/Licenses DDS/DMD degree (or equivalent)certificate of advanced specialty training in prosthodontics from a CODA accredited programBackground in maxillofacial prosthodontics and Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is highly desirable. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements for this position include a certificate of advanced specialty training in prosthodontics from a CODA accredited program. Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical requirements for this position include regularly walking, reaching with hands and arms, occasionally stooping, bending and lifting.
