Description We are seeking a Project Assistant based in Newark, New Jersey, to take on an essential role within our team. This job function is within the electoral industry, and you will be responsible for setting up election sites, managing these sites, and handling the necessary paperwork. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, and it requires skills in Clerical Duties.Responsibilities: Set up and prepare election sites in a timely and efficient manner Oversee the daily operations of the polling site, ensuring smooth and effective functioning Collect, organize, and manage all necessary paperwork in relation to the election Ensure all equipment and materials for the election are correctly and securely installed Respond promptly to any issues or concerns that arise at the polling site Liaise with other team members and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the election Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all election materials and processes Adhere to all electoral policies, procedures, and regulations Perform clerical duties as needed, such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping Provide excellent customer service to all voters and address their inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally. Requirements The applicant must have a strong background in project management or a related field. A thorough understanding of clerical duties is essential. The ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint is required. The applicant must possess strong organizational and time management skills. The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines is necessary. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently are essential. It is required to have a keen eye for detail and accuracy. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is necessary. The applicant must have a professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
