As the Sr Channel Manager, you will assist with the development and execution of the AM Channel Strategy. This role will partner with AM’s Research Chemicals, Specialty Additives, and Stationary businesses. You are responsible for the development and execution of deliverables to ensure success in achieving channel growth goals. You will work closely with all aspects of the business to gather product and channel insights. You will analyze and report business data to support channel programs and new product launch. Responsibilities: Channel Strategy:

Execute channel strategy including differentiation by volume/sales.

Assist with developing/executing performance targets and respective commission plans.

Execute pricing strategy v. direct channel v. e-commerce, including preferential terms.

Drive growth through incentives and joint commercial programs.

Participate in periodic business reviews to track performance towards agreed upon goals/targets.

Promote brand awareness with joint marketing programs.

Manage channel conflict with clear rules of engagement.

implement official 'Distribution Agreements".

Identify potential partners and establish guidelines for adding new distribution partners.

Collaborate with direct sales organizations. Establish guidelines for end user engagement and joint sales calls.

Work closely with Manufacturing/Supply Chain on inventory movement/tracking including service levels (OTIF expectations)."Out the door" vs. end user sales.

Participate in trade events where applicable.

Establish superior 'Top-to-Top' relationships with key partners through face-to-face events/entertainment.

Channel Management:

Ownership of Channel Operations and Rollout including assisting with compliance, including GAN record tracking, partner compliance and assist with establishing a contracts process.

Work on digitalization of channel management/support systems – e marketing, lead management, e-commerce, order management, E2E logistics management etc.

Assess channel management playbooks to cover channel’s lifecycle – channel/distributor sourcing & qualification, on boarding, planning/budgeting/KPI setting, evaluation & rewarding, renewal& termination. Etc.

Travel Required: 25-50% (domestic & international).

YOU MUST HAVE:

5+ years’ experience in contract negotiation – with external suppliers, customers and/or distributor partners in a Sales or Procurement background

2+ years working with Preferred Distribution Partners (PDPs)

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar in Life Sciences

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
