We need YOU!Where the chemistry happens…The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the US (and in some cases Canadian) accounting & reporting activities associated with audits and financial reporting compliance.This position exists to ensure that there is an adequate and robust internal control environment in the US companies and to coordinate and manage the local activities for Group and statutory audits, this includes ensuring that internal control and audit topics are appropriately identified, evaluated, steered, and communicated to local management (NA) and corporate center (CF).As a Financial Reporting Manager, You Create Chemistry By

Acting as a "Bridge to Region" for Financial Reporting Compliance (FRC), frequently engaging with teams in the Hub, corporate center, and business unit to ensure that the FRC program is sufficient to meet local needs.

Coordinating and managing external audit activities (Group and statutory), constantly seeking ways to make the process more efficient and lower risk, and driving resolution of audit comments.

Conducting periodic reporting reviews in conjunction with Hub and remaining teams in GBW/F to ensure sufficient reporting quality for US legal entities.

Managing select reporting to the corporate center (e.g. monthly risks & opportunities list, annual Regional Review Management to Ressort II).

Leveraging financial acumen, communication skills, and data orientation to address topics in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Building and maintaining relationships throughout the organization, embracing change, fostering One Team culture, and making independent decisions where appropriate.

Leading the team by providing development opportunities in an empowerment-focused environment.

Contributing to the overall quality of BASF's financial reporting.

If you

Have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration. CPA and/or MBA highly desired.

Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate financial roles.

Possess a strong sense of accountability, with the ability to influence others with and without the position of authority.

Have good communication skills– both executive and technical–, Including research memos, slides, presentations, and executive summaries.

Have experience in accounting operations, research, and financial reporting.

Have experience in auditing and internal controls.

Possess the ability to interpret and act on data insights.

Have the ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to overcome obstacles.

Posses negotiation, mediation, confliction management, and relationship-building skills; internally with other units (locally and globally), and externally with auditors.
