AECOM is seeking a Marine Structural Engineer who is excited by the prospect of working on a wide variety of exciting projects across our East Region Marine group based out of New York City, NY.  Additionally, this role could work our of either our Piscataway or Bloomfield, NJ offices.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Undertaking design and planning activities for structural design of maritime/waterfront projects including container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, offshore wind, coastal resiliency and development schemes.Undertaking design and planning activities for structural design of new buildings and rehabilitation of existing buildings.Independently prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications and documents, and assist in oversight of the development of technical deliverables prepared by junior structural engineers.Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.Participate in the development of technical scope and design fee estimates in response to RFP’s.Coordinate with other in-house and subconsultant engineering disciplines as needed. Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.Perform condition assessments and site visits as needed.Occasional short to medium term site visits may also become necessary depending on project requirements.Work alongside a technical lead and project manager to ensure technical and business-related successes of projects.
