AECOM is currently seeing a Project Controls Engineer III to review and oversee highway, bridge, and construction schedules in the Albany area. This is an onsite position.This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Job Roles:Review and analyze Contractor’s Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress Schedules on various transportation construction contracts.  Provide recommendations to construction staff on the avoidance, minimization and mitigation of construction phase delaysReview and analysis of Contractor’s requests for contract Time ExtensionsConduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity, and participate in regular progress schedule meetings with construction teamProvide construction management, scheduling and project set up services for all projects on enterprise P6 system.Develop or review Suggested Preliminary Construction Schedules during the final design stage based on the available plans, specifications and estimate provided by the project designerConduct constructability reviews of the plans and specificationsAssist in updating policies, procedures, specifications of guidance related to construction project managementAdminister enterprise databases for both Oracle Primavera P6 and Unifier are administered. Administering Oracle Primavera Business Intelligence application for various updates and reporting. Assist users of P6 enterprise system setting-up projects and assigning appropriate security to project folders. Additional Job Information:Introduced to the company financial and cornerstone systems and processes Introduced to financial terminology, measures, concepts and principles for analysis of financial dataExposed to processes that increase recognition of financial impact of various project actionsExposure to WBS concepts and principlesResearches data for subsequent use in analyzing cost and schedule analysisDeveloping knowledge of accounting principlesDeveloping ability to use drawings and specificationsExposed to progress/performance data and associated concepts and principles.
