Designer/Illustrator, MSNBC Digital

MSNBC Digital is looking for a highly motivated and qualified designer to join our art and photo department. This position will work closely with editors, reporters, and our art director to visualize our stories and brand on MSNBC.com. The ideal candidate is an imaginative thinker who thrives in high-pressure situations and finds extreme satisfaction in finding new ways to tell stories. They must manage and deliver high volumes of product. Organization, communication, and speed are paramount.This position is based in NY.Key Responsibilities:Design, execute and deliver still and animated graphics within required deadlines.Work closely with digital editorial teams to meet deadlines and fulfil requestsPresent creative solutions to graphic needs across all digital platformsDeliver error-free graphics to the quality standards set by the art directorStoryboard and present conceptual designs to the art director, as well as editorial partners across the the site and all digital platformsCollaborate with the art director and editors on daily visuals and long-term project initiatives
