This position involves operating the Charmec charger and charge basket for the purpose of preparing and charging blast holes for stope production and for miscellaneous charging.Key tasks and responsibilities:Load charmec and charge basket according to charge plan and ensure stock count is accurateClean charge machines and baskets regularly, keep housekeeping standards highRefuel charge machines regularlyEnsure site is prepared, packed up and cleaned up on start and finish of jobsGive a thorough shift changeover and pass on relevant information to cross shiftBe able to charge up and down holesProvide support to the development charge crew as and when required.Ensure stock-takes are completed as per the Company policies and procedures and are accurateRecord misfire’s as per the Company policies and proceduresSubmit all stope preparation reports at the end of each shift to the Shift SupervisorSubmit all charge reports at the end of each shift to the Shift SupervisorCompetent in the use of Davey electronic systems may be advantageous.
