Position: Tree Crew Ground Operator
Status: Full-Time Seasonal (April–December)
Starting Pay: $28/hr+, DOE
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:00 am–3:30pm (overtime as needed)
Overview:
As a Ground Operator, you’ll be a key member of a professional tree care team, supporting climbers and crew leads in the execution of tree pruning, removals, and defensible space work. This hands-on role includes equipment handling, debris clean-up, and ensuring job site efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with job setup, execution, and clean-up
- Operate chainsaws, pole saws, and wood chippers
- Load/unload materials and manage debris
- Use rigging systems to assist climbers
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment
- Perform traffic/pedestrian control and follow safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Physically fit; able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Willingness to obtain first-aid certification and engage in training
- Growth mindset and team-focused attitude
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with saws, rigging, or heavy equipment
- Interest in arboriculture or outdoor work
