We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Practice Manager/Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and clinical operations of our medical practice, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee office operations, including managing schedules, appointments, and patient flow
- Assist Dr. Ganong with patient care, including checking patient’s in, preparing patients for examinations or procedures, setting up procedure trays and assisting with procedures as directed
- Assist with billing, coding, insurance claims processing and insurance eligibility or verification
- Learn and Utilize the EHR (electronic health record) efficiently
- Assist with marketing and /or outreach for the practice as directed
- Procure, stock and manage office and medical supplies
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a medical office setting, with an understanding of medical terminology
- Some experience with insurance coding, billing and claims processing is helpful
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in office management or healthcare administration is a plus
