Structural and miscellaneous metal fabrication facility is looking for an EXPERIENCED leader for supervising 25+ people. Thorough knowledge of metal fabrication and metal fab equipment is a must. Must be able to work from drawings, layout, fitting, welding, etc (Sheet, plate, shapes, pipe, etc.). We work in steel, stainless steel and aluminum, and perform shop work.

Applicant will need to have hands-on experience working in the welding and metal fabrication field. You will need to understand the required processes needed to complete a job with proficiency. Must have a good attitude, be a leader, teachable, dependable, and self-motivated. We’re looking for a long-term candidate who is looking for a secure and rewarding form of employment.

Responsibilities and Duties may include:

· Work along side shop employees on existing jobs to help complete them on time;

· Answer technical questions, including reading blueprints and aiding in layout of jobs;

· Work with customers on prototype designs;

· Assist in managing shop employees;

· Able to make technical judgements and decisions regarding upcoming jobs & current

jobs in production;

· Able to communicate clearly with customers, shop personnel, sales and management;

· Work well with a diverse group of people and temperaments;

· Reports Directly to the VP of Operations

Qualifications and Skills:

· Advanced knowledge of welding practices

· Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of

geometric tolerancing and dimensions

· Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job

· Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to

deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events

· Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules

· Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting,

multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose calculating material

fabrication

· Blueprint Reading

· Steel, Aluminum, & Stainless welding experience in both MIG & TIG

Experience

Blueprint Reading: 3 years (Required)

MIG/Dualshield Welding: 3 years (Required)

Manufacturing: 3 years (Required)

Fabrication: 3 years (Required)

TIG: 3 years (Required)

compensation: From $90,000 + Depending on Experience
