Description Sr General Ledger Accounting opportunity w/ tons of flex Our client, a leading energy organization, is actively seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join their finance team. Renowned for their commitment to excellence and innovation, our client offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where professionals can thrive and contribute to the company's continued success.Position Overview:As a General Ledger Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our client's finance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.Key Responsibilities:

Journal Entries: Prepare and record accurate and timely journal entries for various transactions in accordance with accounting standards.

Reconciliation: Conduct monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations to guarantee the accuracy of financial data.

Month-End Close: Collaborate with the client's finance team to facilitate the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements.

Financial Reporting: Assist in the generation and analysis of financial reports, providing valuable insights to support decision-making.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the client's accounting function.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2+ years of experience as a General Ledger Accountant or in a similar role.

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
