Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced or Senior Supply Base Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Hazelwood, MO .In this role you will supporting BDS Fighter's International Supply Chain business. The SBM is expected to contribute to multiple supplier programs concurrently throughout the project/program lifecycle, from supplier evaluation to product delivery, and team with stakeholders from various disciplines and functions – both technical and non-technical and own reporting to Leadership. The SBM may also support multiple operational improvement, product development and business development initiatives. This role will focus on establishing processes to streamline communication, improve on-time delivery, and align the suppliers open orders to the needs of the business and Customers. This role will also be the lead focal integrating with the Enterprise on international Supplier Initiatives, production readiness, and integrated product line recoveries. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in supplier recovery, root cause / corrective action, and cross functional experience.Position Responsibilities – Experienced Level 4 :

Leads supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.

Manages and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.

Leads the development of mitigations plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting customers and programs.

Develops and implements supplier base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies.

Analyzes supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into contracting strategies.

Acts as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and programs.

Position Responsibilities – Senior Level 5 :

Manages supplier/subcontractor performance and relationships.

Provides business and strategic guidance for critical suppliers, commodities and programs.

Leads the resolution of complex or strategic supply chain issues.

Consults with management and customers to lead the development of future supply base requirements.

Integrates supplier strategies with program needs and supply base capabilities.

Drives the company's cross-functional supply base strategy process.

Evaluates potential proposals and coordinates sourcing proposals.

Ensures external partners are meeting business expectations.

Acts as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and programs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position is for 1st shift.This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

More than 5 years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes

More than 5 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Experienced Level 4 : More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Senior Level 5: More than 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience working in supplier management, engineering and/or operations

Typical Education/Experience:Experienced Level 4: Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.Senior Level 5: Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
