Description We are seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join our team. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and provisioning VoIP related products, serving as an escalation point for technical support, and ensuring the efficient operation of our national voice services platform. This role involves remote work and requires strong multitasking abilities, customer service skills, and knowledge of VoIP systems and telephony standards. Responsibilities: Serve as a primary escalation path for field agents with VoIP related issues and trouble tickets. Monitor network devices, interfaces, and trouble tickets, providing continuous monitoring for problems impacting our customers' voice services. Troubleshoot issues with our voice services and update call paths as needed. Maintain active communication with our customers, on-site technicians, carrier service providers, and work directly with our Technical Support Engineers and VoIP Engineers to support and troubleshoot our voice platforms. Handle all tickets and jobs quickly and accurately from start to finish. Respond to customers in an expeditious and detail oriented manner. Coordinate proper installation and configuration of voice service components. Contact carriers and vendors to open new trouble tickets, schedule dispatches, and stay up to date on existing trouble tickets. Receive incoming calls and respond to emails regarding service troubles or call path changes. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Must have a minimum of one year of experience as a Telecommunications Specialist or in a similar role Proficiency in Cisco Voice Over Internet (Voip) is required Familiarity with Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) is essential Experience with VoIP System is necessary Expertise in IP Telephony and Telephony System is required Previous experience working in a Network Operation Center is preferred Must have Basic Troubleshooting skills Knowledge of ISDN, SIP is needed Excellent customer service skills and ability to resolve customer service issues Superior customer service skills are a must.
