- 6+ years of general network experience including various network protocols.
- 4+ years of Cisco Routing, Switching experience
- Need to visit the branches and support (Hand and Feet support)
- Must maintain an excellent attendance record.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of coworkers including technical and non-technical, entry level to senior executive.
- Must present a professional appearance.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers.
- Must be able to think analytically and use process of elimination to disprove potential causes of trouble conditions.
- Clear and easily understood verbal and written communication skills
- Use a Windows laptop / desktop, Microsoft office applications, Visio, and terminal emulator (PuTTY, SecureCRT).
- Be fluent in using web technologies and search engines to acquire knowledge and willing to invest time to read product documentation.
- Able to configure basic BGP settings for branch office Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) circuits.
- Demonstrate ability to complete nearly all routine work accurately and with minimal supervision.
- Graduate with documented network or voice experience such as a Cisco Network Academy school; or
- Associates Degree in a network or telecommunications area with no work experience; or
- Associates Degree in an IT specialty plus Cisco CCNA certification; or
- Bachelors Degree in an IT specialty; or
- Bachelors Degree in any subject area with two years of hands-on R&S or Collaboration experience.
- Valid drivers license, insurance, and reliable automobile.
- US work authorization
- CCNA R&S, CCNA Collaboration preferred
- Able to lift communications equipment weighing up to 30 pounds and rack mount without assistance.
- Able to team lift larger network equipment and install.
- Ability to reach equipment at the top of IT equipment racks, and occasionally crawl on floor to reach network jacks and equipment in the bottom of racks.
- Be able to differentiate between color-coded patch cables and other wiring.
