We are Amazon Robotics and we will give you the tools and support you need to invent with us in ways that are rewarding, fulfilling and fun.Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Manager of Technical Program Management (Manager, TPM) who will be part of the Robotic Sortation Tech organization focused on next generation sortation products, as well as supporting the existing solutions in the field. The Manager will own a team of TPMs focused on the full project lifecycle of innovative programs aimed at improving the efficiency and lowering the cost of Amazon’s Fulfillment Centers and Sortation Centers. The team is part of a broader TPM organization responsible for the planning and execution of NPI & Sustaining programs within Robotics Sortation Tech. TPMs and Managers drive program delivery while serving as liaison between Systems Engineering, Deployment Engineering, Solutions, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Product, & Customer Support.If you are a People Manager with a background in Technical Project/Program Management or Engineer with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, an ability to influence business and technical leaders in a dynamic environment and the desire to be a contributor to Amazon's next generation fulfillment & logistics technology, we want to talk with you. Manage a team of up to ten TPMs owning individual career growth and performance

Drive leadership discussions to mange technical escalation and tradeoff decisions

Lead the effective and efficient delivery of complex sortation solutions, working across all engineering disciplines

Interact with key stakeholders to define and deliver against project goals, including both technical and operational deliverables

Work cross functionally to support extensible solution development and integration

Drive consensus on technical decisions and ensure the appropriate resources are employed to deliver high quality results

Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at the program level

Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders

Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities

Develop and drive engineering project schedules

Deliver programs across all engineering disciplines including Hardware, Software, Solutions, Regulatory Compliance, System QA, and Deployment

Partner with groups external to the Sortation Team to successfully deliver on project goals

Triage, prioritize, and execute against incoming requests from the field or partner teams

The team works closely with our customers as well as with other verticals, core engineering and orgs, including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Tech Ops, GSS, Manipulation, Mobility, Core Software, Deployment Engineering, World Wide Design Engineering (WWDE), Sort Tech, and Construction.Basic Qualifications

5+ years of technical product or program management experience

7+ years experience working directly with engineering teams

5+ years experience managing and leading technical teams

Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
