We believe that our greatest strength draws on the different backgrounds, cultures, perspectives and experiences of our employees.Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and versatile Infrastructure and Systems Manager to lead our technology infrastructure team for a large federal contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex IT environments, implementing security protocols, and overseeing critical systems in a regulated industry setting.This role offers a remote work arrangement, applicants should be in a commutable distance to Rockville, Maryland for in-person meetings as needed.Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of IT professionals responsible for maintaining and improving our organization's technology infrastructure.
Oversee the implementation and management of critical business applications, including but not limited to JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and clinical trial management systems.
Spearhead cloud migration efforts, particularly focusing on AWS environments, and manage hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructures.
Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including regular drills and performance improvements.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including NIST 800-53, 508 Compliance, and 21 CFR Part 11.
Lead risk management initiatives for IT assets and participate in security control assessments and audits.
Contribute to the organization's quality management system and support efforts for certifications such as CMMI.
Oversee database administration activities and data management systems, particularly those related to clinical trials.
Implement and manage IT service management tools and processes.
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in a clinical research or healthcare setting.
Proficiency in managing databases, particularly Oracle and SQL Server.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred.
Demonstrated experience with AWS and cloud migration strategies.
Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, AWS Solutions Architect, and CompTIA Security+.
Experience with clinical trial management systems and related applications.
Demonstrated experience with IT security principles and compliance requirements in regulated environments.
Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies and project management.
Minimum Qualifications:

Collaboration with teams, managers and/or clients.
Organization skills, including time management ability.
Detail oriented.
