Description We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Credit Clerk to join our team in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. This role entails a focus on accounting tasks, with a particular emphasis on accounts payable duties. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team in the telecom industry, offering a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities Process and manage customer credit applications with utmost accuracy and efficiency. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date customer credit records. Handle and resolve all customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally. Monitor customer credit accounts regularly and take appropriate actions to collect overdue payments. Assist with accounts payable tasks as required. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient accounting operations. Utilize your skills in Accounts Payable (AP) to enhance the efficiency of accounting tasks. Perform other related tasks as needed, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our accounting operations. Requirements Applicant must have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in using Accounting Software is required. Sound knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and related best practices. The ability to handle sensitive, confidential information is essential. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are needed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary. A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable. The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills. The ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure is required. Strong numerical and analytical skills are essential.
