Description Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary position located in the Louisville, Kentucky area. This job offers an opportunity for career advancement and features an energetic, team-oriented environment. Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Assemble documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a wide range of sources
General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Work with Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
Upload financial information to journals and ledgers
THIS IS A PART TIME ROLE- 20 hours weekly Requirements
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
Excellent data entry skills
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required
