The International Market Access and Pricing (IMAP) Team leads the market access strategies and planning for Venetoclax. The IMAP Oncology Director for Venetoclax reports to the VP IMAP Oncology and is accountable for the following: an overall price reimbursement and access (PRA) strategy for Venetoclax launch indications aligned with the Venetoclax commercial strategy, protecting the value and access of Venetoclax in existing indications, and ensuring a strong lifecycle management strategy. The Venetoclax Director is a key member of the Asset Strategy Team, International Brand Strategy Team, and leads the Value and Access Team. This role will leverage your clinical understanding, expertise of Evidence Based Medicine, deep global payer knowledge, competitive insights, and strong collaboration with AbbVie areas and affiliates to optimize Venetoclax value and access. Key Responsibilities Include: Supporting the international effort to integrate payer value messages into our clinical and evidence-base assessments and evaluations for Venetoclax across indications. Addressing reimbursement and pricing potential for markets including, but not limited to, EU5, Canada, China, Australia, and Japan. Proactively ensuring reimbursement perspective is incorporated into global market access & pricing strategy as well as multi-functional therapeutic and product assessments throughout key clinical development milestones and strategic commercial decisions. Lead access perspective and input into financial forecasting processes such as Plan and LRP. Managing team of Venetoclax market access managers/associate directors of key indications Generating launch global payer value propositions for Venetoclax launch indications that are aligned with the product’s total established and emerging value proposition (physicians, payers, and patients) and the product’s target product profile (TPP). Establishing a lifecycle strategy to protect value of venetoclax base business while launching additional indications. Collaborating with GHEOR, Clinical Evidence & Outcomes (CE&O) team, policy, International Marketing, Pipeline Commercial Strategy, area market access and other functions, to ensure solid understanding of payer markets and emerging stakeholders in the reimbursement area. Supporting internal events and symposia designed to raise the overall organizational awareness and insights of the environmental changes ahead and implications that payers will increasingly have in the business. Maintaining therapeutic area specific department budgetary activities.Basic: 10 years of experience in Pricing and Market Access, ideally at a global or regional level or Market access lead of EU5, JP, US, Canada, Australia, or China. Education: B.A/B. S required. MBA / Masters / Pharm D / Advanced Degree preferred.Preferred Qualifications: Strong clinical and disease area knowledge. Experience in developing and managing market access strategies globally. Experience in payer trends, evaluating drivers of market access success. Knowledge of pricing policy & regulations and healthcare in key markets including EU5, Canada, China, and Japan. US channel experience and knowledge useful. Understanding of regulatory agency requirements and policies that govern market approval, and the impact on reimbursement decisions.
