Our client, a die casting company located in the Schiller Park area, seeks an entry level purchasing assistant. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in a clerical role within a manufacturing company, be proficient in Microsoft office, and have basic inventory experience.
Responsibilities
Enforce and adhere to the plant’s Purchasing Procedure.
Generate purchase orders accurately detailing all information regarding purchases.
Maintain all purchasing records.
Monitor back-order items to ensure delivery and correct payment.
Maintain Tool Crib and Office Stock room inventories.
Participate in cost improvement projects.
Monitor purchases to detect excessive consumption/cost and inform management of problems.
This is a temporary to permanent role through Away Staffing. Temporary employees will be eligible for permanent hire after working 720 hours. This role offers medical, dental, and retirement benefits.
