ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Position: Administrative Assistant
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Approximately 40 hours per week
Salary: $17.00-$20.00 To be determined at interview based on experience level

Maria V. Contracting, Inc is a growing family company who specializes in demolitions, excavations, and paving work in the Chicagoland area.
We are seeking a reliable and organized administrative assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities include office tasks, handling correspondence, and supporting various company duties. Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support/assistance to company owner and office manager.
Perform general office duties such as typing and proofreading correspondence, typing contracts, distributing and filing.
Manage the beginning-to-end process of obtaining building permits, including the preparation and submission of required documentation.
Ensure all documentation is organized and readily accessible.
Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, and traditional mail. Field inquiries from related business parties, answer questions and complete follow-up actions.
Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, photocopying, and faxing.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school or equivalency.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a must.
Requires two years of general office experience.
Basic Accounting knowledge – QuickBooks is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Windows Desktop Publisher.
Excellent customer service skills and proper phone etiquette.
Typing Skills required.
Ability to perform with excellence in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Ability to work independently, to take initiative and conduct work related research as needed.
A team-player who collaborates in a professional and positive manner.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Prior experience working within related industry is a plus.
Supervision:
Reports directly to the Office Manager.
