Description We are in search of a Paralegal who will be an integral part of our team in CHICAGO, Illinois. The role involves working within the real estate industry, handling legal documentation and property transactions. The successful candidate will use their industry knowledge to support our legal team and assist clients.Responsibilities: Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources related to real estate law. Prepare legal documents, such as contracts, deeds, leases, and closing documents. Investigate facts and law of cases to determine causes of action and to prepare cases. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings. Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation. Record and store client information, often via a computer software system. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws in all legal documentation. Communicate with clients and other parties involved in transactions, as needed. Manage and organize files and case documents, ensuring they are up-to-date. Assist in managing property transactions and real estate closings. Requirements Must hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the related field. Should have a Certificate of completion from a Paralegal program. Must possess a deep understanding of Real Estate Law. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work. Should have a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Must have strong research and report-generating skills. Should be proficient in using legal research software and other related software. Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Should be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact at all levels of the organization. Should have a strong attention to detail. Must have a commitment to the professional ethics of handling sensitive and confidential information. Should have a strong understanding of legal terminology. Must have proven experience in legal documentation preparation and formatting.
