Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description Responsibilities: Learn and adhere to established accounts receivable procedures Verify the validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating relevant information Resolve unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures Coordinate with the billing department to resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, and credit line Negotiate with clients to address their open balances Ensure the organization's value is protected by keeping information confidential Communicate with customers via various channels to collect outstanding accounts receivable balances Efficiently handle dispute resolution Act as a liaison between different departments, including Order Entry, Finance, Controllership, Cash Application, and Billing Submit cancellations, credits, and rebill requests as necessary Handle AIA billing and Lien Waiver submissions Use accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suites to perform accounting functions and check processing Handle discrepancies and billing functions using SAP and Microsoft Excel Perform accounts receivable and cash activity duties.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites Strong understanding of Accounting Functions Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required Familiarity with Billing Functions Must be able to manage Cash Activity Knowledge of Check Processing is necessary Experience with SAP software is preferred Should be able to handle Lien Waivers Familiarity with AIA Billing is a plus Ability to handle Discrepancies in accounts efficiently.
