Seeking responsible, conscientous, mellow person for a part time position as an in-home chore worker/personal assistant to an 80 year old visually impaired gentleman.
Duties Include:
-basic/light housekeeping (dust, sweep &/or vacum as needed, routine cleaning of kitchen and bathroom, etc.-no exterior windows or ladders);.
-occaisonal laundry (washer on site, drying lines under covered lanai);
-driving client to Hilo town as needed for grocery and other shopping, routine appointments, etc. (typically once per week at most, with client covering gas and a meal while in town); and
- other tasks/chores as requested by client/agreed to in advance by chore worker.
Terms & Details:
-Position pays $14.00 per hour, approx. 10 hours per week (44.5 hours per month), with wages paid once monthly by direct deposit from Chore Services/United Healthcare (SSDI/Medicaid);
-Position requires a registered/insured vehicle, smart phone (for time keeping) and a person comfortable with working for and around an old hippie stoner from Berkeley who's lived in Honomu for the last 45 years.
-Possibility of free lodging for right candidate.
