We are looking for a part-time Assistant Funeral Director, with advancement to full-time status for an individual who shows promise. Experience is not necessary. We require only a helpful and compassionate heart. Training will be provided. A successful candidate will possess a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a professional appearance and demeanor. For those who are interested, there is the opportunity to become a fully qualified Funeral Director over time.
Due to the unpredictable nature of our business, flexibility is needed to work on weekdays, evenings, and occasional holidays. Availability to cover a scheduled rotation of on-call weekends is also needed.
Responsibilities
Conduct services arranged by the Funeral Director and assist in preparations for services
Set up chapel facilities
Set up reception table
Direct/officiate the funeral services
Oversee dining
Transport the loved one to offsite services, such as cemeteries, churches, graveside, etc.
