Immediate opening for a paralegal / legal assistant in a solo attorney estate planning and probate law firm.

Law Office of Jessica Lynn Silva, PLLC is a boutique law firm specializing in Estate Planning and Probate providing services to clients throughout all of Florida with current office locations in Tampa Hyde Park and Satellite Beach. Searching for an experienced legal assistant/paralegal who would be present in the Tampa (Hyde Park area) office location Monday through Friday. We strive to provide an excellent client and employee experience in a professional setting that although high paced and busy is also relaxed and fun. If you do not have at least three (3) solid recent years of experience as an estate planning and probate paralegal then please do not apply as experience within these two fields is a must as will be expected to pick up current and incoming caseload and be ready to rock.

 30-40 hours per week (employee preference)

 $20/hr

 investment match up to 3%

Job Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

§ Answering phones and greeting clients

§ Scheduling/confirming appointments (i.e. client meetings, signings, court hearings, etc.)

§ Assist in document executions (serve as a witness and/or notary)

§ Prepare correspondence

§ Draft documents, scanning, photocopying and certified mailings

§ Summarizing cases and preparing reports for attorneys

§ Conducting research and investigating facts

§ Preparing legal document drafts such as contracts, estate plans, probate documents, corporate documents, operating agreements from attorney's notes

§ Preparing and e-filing documents with courts

§ Handle all trust administration and probate administration cases from beginning to end as relates to paralegal taskers

§ Recording deeds, death certificates, etc. in a variety of counties via Simplifile

§ Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases

§ Assisting with other tasks as needed and instructed

§ Create and implement ideas and content creation for social media marketing

Requirements:

§ Minimum 3+ years experience in estate planning and probate

§ Must be a licensed notary or able to become one

§ Familiar with Florida Courts E-filing Portal

§ Superior oral and written communication skills within a professional setting

§ Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment

§ Ability to work independently with little supervision and be a problem solver

§ Strong attention to detail with an eye for accuracy

§ Demonstrated ability to work under strict deadlines

§ Ability to manage and reprioritize work daily

§ Proficiency with Canva, Adobe and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet

§ Proficient in an estate planning and probate drafting software (i.e. Westlaw, WealthCounsel)

§ Experience with legal database/client management software (i.e. Clio)

§ Be punctual and reliable

§ Excellent customer care and focus; ability to assess customers’ needs and provide the correct answer, path, troubleshooting, or method for a positive customer experience

§ A positive TEAM PLAYER attitude
