Overview

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for performing the day-to-day benefit-related duties for Chadwell Supply employees and works closely with the Benefits Manager and the HR Team in supporting designated geographic regions. The Benefits Specialist assists in the administration of employee health and wellness programs, including life and disability, as well as leave and wellness programs. On a professional level, the Benefits Specialist will work with employees, managers, insurance carriers and vendors to maintain and resolve matters related to Chadwell Supply’s benefits program. What you will need

A high school diploma or GED is required.

At least 2 years of benefits experience, or commensurate relevant experience, is required.

Strong understanding of health and welfare, wellness, and retirement plans.

Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and MS Outlook).

Travel may be required.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

How you will make an Impact

Create and maintain confidential electronic employee records, including FMLA-related records.

Collaborate in the administration of employee benefit programs with the Benefits Manager and outside vendors.

Conduct open enrollment and new enrollment processes in a timely manner and within the time frames provided for.

Assist employees in enrolling dependents in health insurance coverage when required by a court approved child support order.

Assist employees with benefit and claim related issues, including disability and life claims.

Distribute benefit enrollment materials for health and welfare packages.

Conduct benefit-related training and facilitate presentations and new hire orientations.

Manage the distribution and collection of Evidence of Insurability (EOI) forms for life and AD&D insurance requests over the non-evidence maximum.

Assist employees with eligibility questions and life status changes.

Work closely with the Payroll department to ensure benefit deductions are accurate.

Support facilitation of the company's Wellness strategies.

Assure compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Assist the Benefits Manager with company-wide event planning.
