DESCRIPTION This is a position located in DCF Headquarters at the Centre of Tallahassee, 2415 N. Monroe St., Suite 400, Tallahassee, FL, 32303. This position reports directly to the Director of the Office on Homelessness. This position will function as a Fiscal Assistant in the Office on Homelessness, assisting leadership in unit budget tracking and management. The Office on Homelessness serves as a single point of contact in state government for the 27 Continuums of Care (CoC) and other agency, organizations, and stakeholders serving the homeless population. The Office oversees policy and funding toward ending homelessness and serving persons experiencing homelessness (F.S.420.622-626). This position may require travel. REQUIREMENTS Required Qualifications

At least two (2) years of administrative or fiscal work.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, or four (4) years commensurate experience in unit fiscal or budget management.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working with the State of Florida.

Report writing and editing experience.

Knowledge of interface design programs.

Excellent writing and verbal skills

Experience with Microsoft Office tools.

Prior experience related to fiscal or budget management.

Essential Job Functions

This is a highly responsible position that provides fiscal support in a team environment. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Maintain unit budget records, accurate spending trends report to monitor allotment, expenditures and grant balances

Maintain monthly invoice tracking report

Record Monthly Status Report data in grant data, maintain Match report

Maintain dashboard ledger as invoices amounts and MSR data is recorded

Prepare Quarterly or On-demand Draw file for HUD grants for submission to Revenue Management

Provide technical assistance to staff, clients and partners

Educational Requirements :

Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in a related field or a combination of education and professional experience totaling four (4) or more years in a fiscal assignments.

Work Experience Requirements:

Must possess strong written and oral communication skills, and uses correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Must be detail oriented and able to enter data accurately into a computerized system. Ability to demonstrate a professional and courteous demeanor to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the public and staff.

Ability to follow written and oral directions and instructions. Ability to read, understand, and apply complicated and detailed regulations, policies, procedures, and programs governing the agency. Ability to communicate clearly with others to obtain and verify information concerning eligibility.

Must be self-motivated. Willing and able to resolve any differences with management in a constructive manner and accept and abide by management’s direction and decisions.

Ability to work in a large, open office environment.

Prepare clear, concise, and accurate records and other documentation in a logical format.

Software Proficiency:

Must navigate multiple computer screens and applications.

Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Operating environments and Office Suite products to include Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive and SharePoint.

Proficiency in IDS, IDIS, CARS preferred
