GROVE is an award winning restaurant located on Main Street in Lakewood Ranch, an award-winning community in SW Florida. GROVE offers a full outdoor Patio, Ballroom, several private event spaces and on and off site catering. GROVE is a high-volume restaurant open for both lunch and dinner 7 days a week and 365 days a year featuring Brunch on Sundays starting at 10am.

We are seeking a professional Chef de Cuisine/Head Chef with a minimum of 5 years qualified experience in an Executive Chef/Chef de Cuisine role with exceptional merit. This position will collaborate with an existing framework of Chefs. Ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge, and the desire to grow with our company. The Chef de Cuisine/Head Chef will be responsible for all BOH employees and all day to day operations. We are willing to pay partial relocation costs, if needed, and have an excellent benefits package!

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Delegates tasks to staff

Coordinates and plans daily/weekly and event schedules

Monitors and produces quality and quantity of food delivered to guests

Ensures recipes are being followed and assists in standardizing

Collaborates with team on new menu ideas and oversees menu rollouts

Maintains cleanliness and organization of entire kitchen and restaurant

Interviews, hires, schedules and trains new employees

Resolves guest issues courteously and professionally

Manages budgeted labor and food cost

Assists with counting monthly inventory

Complies with state food sanitation and hygiene requirements

Stays current/abreast with food trends and seeks new culinary ideas and equipment efficiencies

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience as Executive Chef/Chef de Cuisine or similar

Culinary degree preferred but not required

Knowledge and study of various cuisines is required

Be able to work any station on the cook line as well as full knowledge and skill in preparation

Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively

Excellent written and computer skills

Be fluent in understanding how to effectively manage Food, labor and overhead costs

Be able to expedite efficiently while running the cook line and service line with high volume
