Description We are looking for a diligent Logistics Clerk in the manufacturing industry, based in Miami, Florida. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity where you will be responsible for preparing products for shipping for our customers. This position requires an individual with a skill set in Warehouse Distribution and will be conducted onsite.Responsibilities: Prepare products for shipping, ensuring they meet company standards and are ready for distribution Work directly with customers, addressing their needs and inquiries related to shipping Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments, including details such as quantity, destination, and shipping method Ensure that all shipping documentation, such as invoices and packing lists, are accurately completed and provided to the relevant parties Collaborate with other team members and departments to streamline processes and improve the efficiency of the shipping department Comply with all safety and hygiene regulations within the warehouse Resolve any arising issues or complaints related to shipping Monitor shipping expenses and work towards minimizing operational costs Keep up with knowledge on shipping and logistics trends and best practices. Requirements Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Prior experience in a logistics or warehouse distribution role in the manufacturing industry is preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial. Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, are required. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift and move heavy items, when necessary. Knowledge of inventory management software and database systems is a plus. Familiarity with safety regulations in a warehouse setting is desirable. Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with other departments. Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays if required. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure. Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain management is beneficial. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
