Job Title: Software EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Electro-Optical Software Development Team. This role involves leading technical activities for infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles, and airborne platforms. The successful candidate will develop embedded software and PC tools, ensure hardware compatibility, and interact with users to define system requirements. Documentation, maintenance procedures, and regular reporting of progress are also key responsibilities. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently as well as under supervision, providing technical expertise and support to the team.Hard Skills
Real-time embedded software experience (5-10 years)
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Linux, and bare-metal implementation
Embedded device drivers experience (TCP/IP, UART, I2C, PCIe), preferably on Linux or VXworks
Multi-threading/multi-processing concepts and implementations
Development experience in C or C (3 years)
Active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance
Soft Skills
Ability to work independently and under supervision
Effective communication skills, both written and oral
Commitment to meeting deadlines and technical requirements
Ability to support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
Work EnvironmentThe position offers a 9/80 work schedule with initial full-time on-site presence in Melbourne, FL for the first 3-4 months.
