Job Title: Embedded Software EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will develop, modify, and maintain customized or standardized applications using software engineering best practices and standards. This role includes participation in the full life-cycle of software development, from requirements development, modeling and design, to application development, testing, release, installation, and maintenance. The role involves working under the direction of technical leadership, with some expected self-direction.Hard Skills

Full Lifecycle design, implementation, and unit testing of software

Development of SW products from all phases of SW life cycle

Review of software requirements against specific criteria

Translating project requirements into specifications and programming deliverables

Utilizing internal processes and tools for the development of software

Review, develop and document software level operational concepts

Preparation and/or review of documentation for software designs and architectures

System/Product integration

Verifying and validating aspects of software designs

Conducting design and code reviews and other defect prevention activities

Design and promotion of new components and sub-processes

Activities related to software debugging and issue resolution

Executing code integration, configuration management, and release processes

Conducting incremental component level testing and integration of product functionality

Creating Test Plans and Procedures

Executing Test Procedures to ensure requirements compliance

Troubleshooting

Resolving defects and performing Component to Component Integration

Developing device drivers for embedded Linux using C Language

Soft Skills

Able to work under direction of technical leadership with some expected self-direction

Active participation in code reviews

Ability to review, develop and document software level operational concepts

Preparation and/or review of documentation for software designs and architectures

Ability to perform system/product integration

Able to verify and validate aspects of software designs

Able to conduct design and code reviews and other defect prevention activities
