Medical Equipment Installation Tech - Entry Level 1099 $28/hr to start

SCT is hiring for a Medical Install Tech position in the Omaha NE area. SCT is located in Indianapolis, IN. Currently we have 27 healthcare technicians on our team. This position is a 1099 position. Technician's will be working on their own or in a team environment. SCT currently covers 27 states for our customers. This position does require a reliable car for daily transportation. Overnight travel will be required throughout the year. This position is fit for someone with mechanical and IT skills. This position requires someone to do everything from inventorying equipment, assembling of the equipment, installation of new equipment and removal of old equipment. Daily requirements include filling out a daily work log, communicating any issues to the team lead or supervisor. Timesheets must be done daily. Pay is weekly on Friday.

$25/hr work Travel pay is $10/hr Per Diem is $30/day when traveling with a hotel night Pay Weekly

Qualifications

Drug screen (when applicable for the position)

Valid driver’s license and personal car (required)

Be able to do overnight travel when required.

Multi-task along with attention to detail

Ability to fill out and process daily work logs and timesheets

Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills

Work independently and as part of a team.

Email transmission and communication.

Internet navigation and research

Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word and Excel

Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet

Understands use of all applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies

Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork.

Must have own personal tools

Must be able to pass a background check

Annual Recertification via online training

Requires contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens.

Responsibilities

In this position, you are responsible for delivery, assembly and set-up of equipment in hospitals and medical facilities

Some overnight travel will be required

Be able to communicate issues, delays and progress on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.)

Adheres to company policies and procedures in regard to using personnel protective safety equipment and services

Assists in resolving customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.

Assists with implementation of quality improvement programs to meet company and JCAHO standards.

Communicates to supervisor any problems or conditions which would otherwise compromise the projects completion

Completes daily work log and timesheet

Develops basic reimbursement knowledge, completely documents all information

Prepares and maintains written company records to include invoices, work orders, expenses and timesheets

Processes all orders and required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner

Reports equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies

Performs other duties as assigned

Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information

Mechanically inclined for the repair and troubleshooting of equipment

Successfully demonstrates loading, unloading and proper tie down procedures as per company policy of transported cargo

Lift and carry medical equipment at times

Benefits

Job is a 1099 position. $28/hr to start and $10/hr for travel pay

Personal car is required for 3 hours from home address

Hotels are approved for 90 miles from home
