Growing Real Estate Management Company located in Kensington, Maryland seeks a full time Assistant Property Manager to assist in the management of a portfolio of Condominium and Homeowner Associations in Montgomery County and Washington, DC. The position is supported by the administrative staff and reports to the VP for Property Management.
This is an entry level position. It’s a great opportunity for the right person to be trained and to learn a dynamic and exciting business – with excellent professional growth potential as the company continues to grow.
Responsibilities include assistance with: evaluating property needs for maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects, soliciting bids, negotiating, implementing, and monitoring contracts, scheduling contractors, responding to customer service requests, preparing budgets and management reports, and attending periodic Board meetings typically held in the evenings.
Required skills include: enthusiasm to learn the property/community management business, proficiency in MS Word and Excel, well organized, basic understanding of property characteristics and finances (will train), good communicator, good at problem solving, takes initiative, and is able to work independently in a small business environment.
