DC-based company seeks Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager

We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager for a growing residential property management company. Will train the right person if you are hard-working, quick on your feet, and professional.

Job Summary

The right candidate will seamlessly integrate into our team; coordinate vendors for a wide range of maintenance issues and make sure they get completed; can prioritize tasks; and manage multiple projects concurrently with excellent communication and great attention to detail.

What You’ll Be Doing

Oversee all property-related issues for around 100 units

Maintain regular communication with property owners, tenants, and vendors to address any maintenance issues promptly and professionally

Foster and maintain good working relationships with Vendors (Handymen, Plumbers, Electricians, etc.)

Set clear expectations with Tenants on next steps during repairs, and follow up after repairs

Assist in tracking costs, sometimes paying the Vendors directly with a company check or credit card

Qualifications

Warm, upbeat personality

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communications (both written and oral)

Detail-oriented and quality-focused with strong time management, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills

Proven ability for accuracy while working quickly and reliably meeting deadlines

Can stay calm under pressure and while multitasking

Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, following processes with minimal supervision

Property Management OR general knowledge of property maintenance is preferred (if you have Property Management experience, it must be at a reputable company with a proven history of good client and tenant service)

Must be computer savvy and comfortable working with MS office programs as well as industry-specific software

Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required if candidate has equivalent experience

Must be flexible to be on-call 1-2 weekends a month for emergency repairs that may arise

Drivers license required with reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)

Criminal background check required.
