Preschool Lead Teacher (Falls Church)
We are currently seeking a positive, caring and energetic Lead Teacher for our 4 Year Old (Pre-K) class. We are a “Learn through Play” program looking to hire a P/T Lead for a morning class (9:00 - 12:00, or 9:00 - 1:30). Responsibilities:
Create, manage and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives.
Create and deliver lesson plans, implement school curriculum, and assess developmental needs of students.
Maintain a healthy and safe environment.
Communicate positively to parents regarding student progress.
Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the school, and collective/individual interest of its staff and student body.
Skills include:
Communicating positively and appropriately with children, parents, peers and Director
Modeling positive interactions for the children and managing class behavior
Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to continually learn and improve skills.
Must have:
A Bachelors degree or higher in Education or related field OR
An Associates degree or higher in ECE, Elementary Education or a related field, OR
CDA with 2-3 years of classroom experience
While we are a church-based preschool, our students are from all faith, ethnic and language backgrounds. We offer a positive, supportive, family-friendly work environment and all pertinent CPR/First Aid & Epi-pen certifications.
