Monarch Montessori School aims to provide an authentic Montessori experience for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:30 PM. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Toddler Teacher to advance the development of our students. The ideal candidate for this position can work well in both a team-oriented and one-on-one environment, has experience with both physical and mental development in children, and is capable of developing engaging lessons that expose students to new ideas. This job requires on-the-job training. We're willing to train the right person. You are responsible for having an active CPR & First Aid Certificate, Negative TB Skin Test, and COVID-19 Vaccination Record prior to your start date.

Role & Responsibilities:

Hours are 7:30AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday. 1 hour lunch break.

Working with 12 busy toddlers ages 15 months to 2.5 years.

Classroom management. You must be able to organize and maintain your classroom area. This position requires multitasking and following a set daily schedule.

Disinfecting and sanitizing all surfaces and materials in the classroom. Cleaning classroom at the end of the workday in preparation for the next school day.

Assisting parents with toilet-training and diapering routine.

Provide a safe and nurturing environment where children thrive and learn at their own pace.

Have a thorough understanding of each child's psychological and emotional state to help foster the correct environment.

Ability to work collaboratively with parents and other team members.

Ensure that each child feels safe and secure while they wait for their families.

Monthly lesson planning

Drafting and sending daily progress reports to parents using school's software.

Qualifications

3 years experience working in an early childhood setting (e.g. preschool or Montessori school). No nannies or babysitters please.

Classroom management skills

Montessori teaching experience or willingness to be trained over the next 12 months.

Command of English language when writing and speaking to children and their families.

Lesson planning expertise.

Early childhood education background (CDA preferred). Associate or Bachelor's Degree in education or related field required.

Ability to work with preschool-aged children

Knowledge of Montessori principles and practices or willing to learn

Experience in creating engaging and educational classroom environments for young children

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
